Fields are information from a page’s Properties dialog box that you can insert into the page body or borders of the page itself, insert into the page body or borders of another page, or use for links to the page. CuteSITE Builder includes nine custom fields for each page: title, short title, summary, author, keywords, comments, and three custom fields you can define yourself.

The benefit of fields is that they automatically update, which means that whenever you change the information in the Properties box, any inserted field or link that uses the field information also updates. Additionally, if you edit the field or link, the edits are automatically reflected in the page’s Properties dialog box.

Most CuteSITE Builder page layouts include a title field by default. The following screen shows a default title field in the top border.
