Configuring the Web Browser

To connect to Mail Express portals using a web browser, JavaScript must be enabled in the browser (Ajax uses JavaScript).

To configure the web browser to work with Mail Express

Internet Explorer:

• For Internet Explorer to allow Ajax to run, the following settings must be set under Tools > Internet Options > Security tab > Custom level:

Under ActiveX controls and plug-ins:

• Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins: Enable

• Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting: Enable

Under Scripting:

• Active scripting: Enable

Chrome:

• Settings > Show Advanced Settings > Privacy > Content Settings > Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended) (enabled by default)

Safari:

• Preferences > Security (tab) > Web content > Enable JavaScript selected (Enabled by default)

Firefox:

• Tools > Options > Content (tab) > Enable JavaScript selected (Enabled by default)
