Drop-Off Portal

The Mail Express Drop-Off Portal is provided for external, non-Outlook users to send files using Mail Express. From this web page, any individual who knows the URL of the page can attach files to an email to send to one or more recipients. You can also log in to the Drop-Off portal using your Internal user credentials. If the administrator has configured the Drop-Off page to allow only \"verified\" users, and your account is not defined as a verified user, you will not have access to the Drop-Off page.

Internal Portal

Internal Sender

Senders that access the application to send files via Mail Express using the Outlook Add-in or Internal Portal and are registered within the system.

Invitation

An email that is sent by an internal user from the Add-in or Internal portal which invites one or more recipients to create a permanent external account by following a link. This external account can be used to log into the drop off portal and send files back to the sender. Each recipient receives their own private invitation link.

Mail Express Reply

An email that is sent by an internal user from the Add-in or Internal Portal which includes a link that allows recipients to access the Reply Portal in order to upload files back to the sender without having to create an account.  The reply link will expire when the package expires.  Each recipient will receive their own private reply link.

OAI

Package

Packages are file transfers that may contain one or more files and an associated message.

Pick-up Portal

When a Mail Express user sends an email with an attachment, the attachment (if managed by Mail Express) is sent to the Mail Express Server, and the recipient receives an email that contains the body of the original sent email, plus one or more hyperlinks from which the recipient can download the attachment from the Pick-Up Portal.

A \"verified\" user is a user in the system. You can have “anonymous” access, where anyone can use the portal, or “verified” access, where you need a username and password to access the portal.
